Description: This session will cover solutions for the bounce generated on student October this year; statistics on the quality of data we receive state wide, and future collections using SASID's. There will be a discussion on how data collections using SASIDs play into the bigger picture. In addition, information regarding notices on duplicate funding issues from October 2003 will be addressed. We will also discuss the progress of and schedule for the automation of the End of Year state report, including the 2002-03 data pilot and going live with all districts for 2003-04 EOY data. Updated information for Report Card March and Safety and Discipline Indicator ADEP submissions will be briefly covered as well.

CIC Score Analyzer - Steve Bohlender (CIC)

Description: Reduce the time needed to analyze and communicate student achievement scores (CSAP, NWEA, TerraNova, etc.) from DAYS to MINUTES with CIC ScoreAnalyzer software (used by teachers and administrators to “slice and dice” student achievement data). Extremely easy to use (train administrators and teachers in ONE HOUR or less), and visual representation of achievement data; scores are color-coded to quickly identify trends and communicate results. Bar graphs and pie charts are dynamically updated to display selected data (test parts / scores).

The presentation includes discussion, and invites audience participation, on the follow topics: Student Matrix, Files most often used for query, Counting, Totaling, Sorting, Query Qualifiers, Saving values to UserNum fields for reporting, Drag and Drop Queries and Headings.  We will discuss queries as they apply to Student, Parent/Guardian, Scheduling, Grade Reporting, Course History, and Attendance.  Also included is an overview of saving, naming, and sending queries to other users.   Export will be briefly discussed.

Description: Delve into the tools that will make a teacher's life easier!  This session will first look at CLASSxp, the module for teachers to take attendance and access student information and reports.  Then we'll play with InteGrade Pro, the teacher gradebook program that interacts with SASIxp.  The workshop will guide you through the process of creating a grade book, alphabetizing your rosters, setting grading profiles, creating tasks, locking scores, printing progress reports, exporting grades, emailing progress reports, importing tasks, combining tasks, offering extra credit (the right way), preserving your setup profiles from term to term, and locking your grade book data.

Elementary Academic Grading  - Patty Roundy (Aurora)

Description: Elementary students can have subject areas assigned and grades awarded for each subject in the Elementary Academic Grading module.  The system will allow you to award up to two marks (achievement and effort) for every subject for each grading period as well as marks for effort.  Subjects and marks can be developed around your current curriculum and grading process.  Marks can be either alpha or numeric.  Subject and grade level comments can be developed and given to every student for each grading period.  See how Aurora Public Schools assigns homeroom and special subjects to students and how we award grades and generate Report Cards.

Description: How to use the Grading Control atom to run a smooth grade reporting process. We will cover:  Update Grades; Update absences for report cards;  Grade Scanning; how teachers enter grades in Classxp; importing grades from Integrade Pro; Teacher Verification report to be sure all grades were entered correctly; printing Report Cards and other reports; sorting report cards for distribution during a class; extra mailings; honor roll reports; fixing kids who are in a class for grade reporting but shouldn’t be; updating GPAs for report cards or honor rolls; helpful queries for grade reporting; Tips.
